And...its starts...AGAIN

Well, school starts on Monday and how do I feel? I am not really sure. Prior to this past week I had told myself (numerous times) that I was going to be positive this year, no matter what. Of course, that was until preplanning rolled around. I am currently sitting a 26 students on my roster (when I was promised no more that 22, and with the knowledge that I had 7 just show up the first week last year), which is a lot of students to have in one room. I am stressing about how to successfully implementing my two tech grants with that many students and limited support. Our schedule is crazy and insane...but whatever, I have accepted the fact that I will teach what I want, when I want. And I need to figure out PE activities to do with my kids on a daily basis -- bleh.

I'm not all doom and gloom though. I DID, in fact, get my own SMARTboard and am throughly excited to really start creating activities to use with it. I am super excited to have my class all day long - this allows for more community building and integration. And, it is my second year, so I kinda know what I am doing/getting into.

Next week should be telling of what I am TRULY getting into, so until then......

Back from the Motherland

I'm back from CT!! It was a very nice two weeks at home with my family. It is always bittersweet to leave CT - on one hand I am SO excited to come home to be with Jay and our girls, but then the other side is that I really love being with my family. If I could have them all closer in distance I think I would be a much happier girl. :)

I spent a lot of time just relaxing while I was home. Stayed up late, slept in late, ate wonderful grilled food everynight outside, and read a lot. I spent a lot of time teaching my brother to drive, which was kinda scary the first day but quickly got to be quite relaxing.
We visited Newport, RI and perused the gorgeous mansions, shopped a ton, and enjoyed all that there was to do in Newport. We went to the farm for breakfast and picked blueberries after. In usual fashion - Kody somehow managed to piss off some insane blueberry picker and got accosted - all of us started laughing hysterically. We went to this CRAZY grocery store that was the spawn of Publix and Its a Small World. You think I am kidding, but I'm not.
It was a lot of fun, but now it's back to the real world.......

Welcome to My World

I have decided to start a blog (once again) for many reasons....
- Somedays I just need to get the MANY thoughts rolling around OUT of my head
- There is never enough time to really let some people know what I am up to
- I have always loved being able to look back on thoughts/ideas/etc and wonder what the hell I
was thinking
- Finally, why the hell not?!

In other words, ENJOY!
